Motor City Cruise Identity
Starting with the 2021 NBA G League season, the Motor City Cruise are a new team that serves as the affiliate of the Detroit Pistons. The vision for the logo was to create a fresh, new brand while maintaining connectivity with the Detroit Pistons core identity. This was achieved by linking the team colors, fonts and symbolism, but in a style that appeals to a younger demographic of basketball fans. The name Motor City Cruise has a strong connection to the automotive heritage of the city and the engine that drives the team. Official team uniforms and home court designs were also included as part of the identity package.
